Emergency Veterinarian

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient exams and medical work-ups
• Conduct diagnostic procedures and surgical interventions
• Manage client communication, education, and rapport building
• Maintain accurate medical records and follow controlled substance protocols
• Monitor hospital cases and participate in daily rounds to ensure high standards of care
• Collaborate with the Hospital Manager on weekly priorities and hospital protocols

Requirements

• DVM or VMD degree from an accredited college or university
• Current State Veterinary License
• Valid DEA registration
• 1+ years of experience in emergency veterinary practice
• Strong diagnostic, clinical, surgical, and dental skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Advanced clinical knowledge in cardiovascular, respiratory, orthopedic, or neurological examinations
• Strong problem-solving skills regarding hospital management
• Professionalism in providing and receiving constructive feedback
• Business acumen regarding veterinary practice finances and management
• Commitment to ongoing continuing education
