Emergency Response Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Design and coordinate the comprehensive emergency preparedness and response strategy for mining operations, including mines, surfaces, and tailings dams.
• Monitor and supervise compliance with Mexican Safety, Health, and Environmental regulations to prevent legal sanctions.
• Perform safety and hygiene inspections and audits to detect unsafe acts, conditions, or environmental deviations.
• Lead risk analysis and accident/incident investigations to prevent recurrence.
• Manage and report on the performance of the Safety and Health Management System, including key performance indicators.
• Provide continuous training and awareness to all levels of the organization regarding risk prevention and operational excellence.

Requirements

• Degree in Industrial, Environmental, Mining, or a related Engineering field.
• Extensive experience in underground mining and field inspections (5-8 years).
• Proven experience as an Emergency Response Coordinator (4-6 years) and Safety Supervisor (2-4 years).
• Deep knowledge of Mexican Safety, Health, and Environmental regulations.
• Proficiency in ISO Management Systems and Risk Management (identification, evaluation, and control).
• ECO680 Safety Supervisor certification.
• Certified instructor with expertise in Mine Rescue and First Aid.
