Emergency Medicine Physician

Responsibilities

• Perform medical evaluations and formulate differential diagnoses and treatment plans for urgent and emergent care
• Obtain IV access, perform phlebotomy, administer IV medications and fluids, and perform EKGs
• Lead medical management alongside PAs, nurses, and technicians
• Assess and treat Covid-related cases, including clinical sampling and point-of-care testing
• Document evaluations and treatments in the electronic health record
• Coordinate additional care with After Care, house calls teams, and medical partners
• Ensure patient-centered communication and comfort for patients and families

Requirements

• Medical Degree from an accredited university
• Physician state license to practice in California
• ABEM board certified or board eligible
• 2+ years of experience as a physician in emergency departments or urgent care centers
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• DEA license

Preferred Qualifications

• Concierge or EMS/prehospital experience
• Proficiency with EHR systems and tech platforms such as Slack and Athena Health
• Excellent bedside manner and strong process and organizational skills
• Ability to adapt and problem-solve in a fluid, multitasking environment
