Emergency Medicine Physician

Responsibilities

• Perform medical evaluations and formulate differential diagnoses and treatment plans for urgent and emergent care
• Execute medical procedures including IV access, phlebotomy, medication administration, and EKGs
• Lead medical management by collaborating with PAs, nurses, and technicians
• Assess and treat Covid-related cases including point of care testing and symptom management
• Document clinical evaluations and treatments in Athena Health EHR
• Coordinate care with After Care, house calls teams, and Medical Partners
• Provide patient-centered, empathetic communication to patients and families

Requirements

• Medical Degree from an accredited university
• Physician state license for New York
• Completion of Emergency Medicine residency
• Emergency medicine board certification
• 2+ years of experience as a physician in an emergency department or urgent care center post-residency
• Valid DEA license
• Proficiency with systems like Slack, Athena Health, and Salesforce
