About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide acute, urgent, emergency, and routine outpatient medical care within the on-site clinic environment
- Respond to medical emergencies and stabilize patients until evacuation or higher-level care is available
- Manage outpatient care, chronic conditions, continuity of care, and medical documentation for station personnel
- Support patient transfers, clinic workflow, equipment maintenance, and supply management
- Provide clinical leadership support utilizing telemedicine, teleradiology, and independent basic X-ray interpretation
Requirements
- Current unrestricted Physician Assistant license in at least one U.S. state, District of Columbia, or Puerto Rico
- Physician Assistant degree from an accredited institution with extensive emergency room experience
- Current NCCPA certification
- Current BLS, ACLS, and DEA credentials
- U.S. citizenship or Permanent Resident Card required
- Ability to respond to on-site emergencies within 30 minutes when on assignment
- Ability to obtain and maintain NACI/Tier 1 background eligibility
- Willingness to work extended assignments in a remote environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in remote, austere, or military healthcare environments
- Experience coordinating medical evacuations and remote healthcare logistics
- ATLS certification
- Experience with telemedicine, teleradiology, and independent X-ray interpretation
