Emergency Medical Services Technician

Responsibilities

• Respond safely and promptly to medical emergencies within the community
• Provide basic first-aid treatment and life-saving medical interventions, such as CPR
• Perform patient assessments to determine the appropriate level of care
• Document all medical care provided to patients accurately
• Communicate effectively with first responders, emergency medical staff, and other personnel
• Maintain and manage emergency medical response equipment
• Create and deliver first aid training for the community and in-service training to student EMS staff

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Current Wisconsin licensure at the Emergency Medical Technician level
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification or equivalent
• Ability to pass a Wisconsin caregiver background check
• Availability to work nights and weekends

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in the field of emergency medical response
