Requirements
Credentialed Veterinary Technician (CVT, RVT, LVT, LVMT), 1+ years veterinary technician experience, High school diploma or equivalent, Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
About the role
Responsibilities
- Deliver nursing care, treatments, and emotional support from triage to discharge
- Manage IVs, CRIs, blood transfusions, and medication administration
- Perform CPR and advanced life support techniques
- Handle diagnostics, imaging, sample collection, and tube placement
- Manage anesthesia for fragile patients
- Utilize advanced techniques including central lines, endoscopy, and ultrasounds
- Collaborate with doctors to shape care plans and maintain workflow
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associate’s degree or higher in veterinary technology from an AVMA accredited program preferred
- Credentialed as a Veterinary Technician (CVT, RVT, LVT, or LVMT) in Massachusetts
- 1+ years of experience in a veterinary technician role
- Experience in emergency or specialty medicine preferred
- Proficiency with practice management software and electronic medical records
- Ability to stand for prolonged hours, kneel, and lift up to 25 kg
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating basis
Preferred Qualifications
- VTS in ECC, internal medicine, or anesthesia/analgesia
- RECOVER CPR certification
