Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care, treatments, and emotional support from triage to discharge
• Manage IVs, CRIs, blood transfusions, and medication administration
• Perform CPR and advanced life support techniques
• Handle diagnostics, imaging, sample collection, and tube placement
• Manage anesthesia for fragile patients
• Utilize advanced techniques including central lines, endoscopy, and ultrasounds
• Collaborate with doctors to shape care plans and maintain workflow

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Associate’s degree or higher in veterinary technology from an AVMA accredited program preferred
• Credentialed as a Veterinary Technician (CVT, RVT, LVT, or LVMT) in Massachusetts
• 1+ years of experience in a veterinary technician role
• Experience in emergency or specialty medicine preferred
• Proficiency with practice management software and electronic medical records
• Ability to stand for prolonged hours, kneel, and lift up to 25 kg
• Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating basis

Preferred Qualifications

• VTS in ECC, internal medicine, or anesthesia/analgesia
• RECOVER CPR certification
