About the role
Responsibilities
- Conduct technical electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) studies for signaling systems to ensure safe and optimized traffic regulation.
- Identify and analyze contractual EMC requirements and define design and installation rules.
- Analyze electromagnetic interference risks between equipment and systems, including signaling system interfaces.
- Perform post-installation verifications and conduct EMC characterization and integration tests on-site.
- Define and implement appropriate mitigation measures to reduce interference risks to acceptable levels.
- Draft project documentation, including EMC control plans and risk analyses.
- Manage allocated EMC project budgets and represent the EMC activity in technical meetings.
- Participate in R&D projects and the improvement of EMC methods and tools.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Engineering (Ecole d'Ingénieur or equivalent) with a specialization in Electromagnetic Compatibility.
- Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in EMC.
- Strong knowledge of railway EMC standards (EN 50121) and fundamental EMC standards (EN 61000-4-x).
- Solid skills in electronic design and electromagnetic compatibility.
- Proven experience in signal acquisition and processing.
- Experience in EMC problem-solving.
- Fluency in both French and English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of electrical safety, grounding, and lightning/electric shock protection measurements.
- Ability to work autonomously and adapt to international, multi-site contexts.
