EMC Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and optimization of grounding and shielding architectures for wearable systems
• Develop, update, and enforce EMC/ESD design specifications and risk management processes
• Integrate and optimize components including sensors, wireless charging systems, and advanced PCBs
• Design and implement ESD protection strategies and circuit-level solutions
• Plan and execute end-to-end system-level EMC and ESD compliance testing
• Define and conduct comprehensive EMC validation plans using electromagnetic simulation tools
• Analyze laboratory and field data to diagnose root causes of EMC/ESD issues
• Manage multiple engineering projects and collaborate with manufacturing partners

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related technical discipline
• 8+ years of applied experience in EMC design, measurement, and debugging
• Advanced knowledge of system-level ESD protection principles and test equipment
• In-depth understanding of electromagnetic theory, grounding, and shielding
• Experience with PCB and flexible circuit design for wearable or mobile products
• Understanding of power integrity, EMI suppression, and RF desensitization
• Proven track record supporting product development from concept to mass production

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics
• 10+ years of advanced EMC design and testing experience in consumer electronics
• Expertise in EM diagnostic instrumentation like near field scanners and spectrum analyzers
• Proficiency in magnetic shielding strategies and noise management
