About the Company
Human Archive is a research lab backed by Y Combinator focused on modeling human embodied intelligence. Founded by Stanford and UC Berkeley researchers, we build custom hardware products to recover human embodied intelligence as a learned model, advancing research into robotics and world modeling.
Responsibilities
- Lead PCB and power systems design for wearable capture hardware
- Design custom carrier boards for ARM compute modules and route high-speed interfaces
- Own end-to-end design of rigid-flex and high-density boards including EMI and impedance control
- Develop power architecture, battery management systems, and power delivery networks
- Integrate multi-camera arrays and various sensors (inertial, magnetic, acoustic)
- Perform board bring-up, debugging, and signal/power integrity validation
Requirements
- Strong PCB design experience using Altium, Cadence Allegro, or KiCad
- Expertise in high-speed digital design, differential pair routing, and impedance control
- Experience with SI/PI simulation and validation
- Experience with compute module or SoM carrier boards
- Proficiency with lab debugging tools including oscilloscopes and logic analyzers
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with multi-camera array design
- High-speed SerDes routing expertise
- ARM SoC carrier board experience (Qualcomm, NXP, etc.)
- Background in wearable or body-worn products
- Knowledge of hot-swap power design and FCC/CE/RoHS compliance
