Embedded Systems Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Brainstorm, conceptualize, design, and prototype new systems and software architectures
• Research new technologies and software libraries applicable to the product roadmap and vision
• Support proposal development processes
• Analyze and implement solutions for complex technical design challenges
• Validate software and system performance through experimentation and refactoring

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline
• 5+ years of experience developing with C/C++, Java, or Python
• 5+ years of experience with functional Object-Oriented programming and design
• Experience developing custom applications using embedded systems such as Arduino, Raspberry Pi, Odroid, or Beaglebone
• U.S. citizenship is required
• Active Security Clearance or eligibility to obtain a clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Git or GitLab CI/CD pipeline management
• Knowledge of Robot Operating System (ROS)
• Experience with multi-threaded programming or Linux/Windows scripting
• Familiarity with AI/ML, Neural Networks, or computer vision
• Experience with network communications, encryption, or Iridium communications
