About the role
About the Company
Blissway is a startup that simplifies toll collection and dramatically improves highway safety. We are a lean team of less than 30 people building deep tech, AI/ML, hardware, SaaS, and IoT solutions that maintain a significant technological lead in the tolling industry.
Responsibilities
- Ensure roadside systems, including solar power, cell connectivity, and high-speed sensors, operate with 99.9% reliability in harsh environments
- Deep-dive into the reliability of power systems and connectivity
- Own the development of schematics, PCBs, housing, and cabling solutions for next-generation hardware
- Lead design iterations in CAD to improve assembly yield and long-term serviceability
- Write edge-level code that bridges the gap between physical sensor limitations and software requirements
Requirements
- Experience writing code for the unpredictability of the physical world
- Ability to work in a high-intensity environment (average 55+ hours/week)
- Strong adaptability and willingness to assist across different teams
- Proficiency in problem-solving and fast learning
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in Python, TypeScript, or C/C++
- Experience with Altium, Onshape, oscilloscopes, or logic analyzers
- Knowledge of Linux, IoT Edge Devices, or AWS
- Expertise in Edge Computer Vision, CAD, or weatherproofing for outdoor deployment
