Embedded Software/Firmware Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, enhance, and update firmware subsystems and portions
• Analyze design requirements to determine necessary coding, programming, and integration activities
• Write and execute comprehensive testing plans, protocols, and documentation
• Identify, debug, and resolve issues related to code and application architecture integration
• Lead project teams of firmware engineers and development partners to deliver high-quality, cost-effective solutions
• Collaborate with management and external partners regarding design status and project progress
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to less experienced staff members

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, or an equivalent field
• 3-5 years of professional experience in firmware or embedded software engineering
• Expertise in multiple firmware design tools and programming languages
• Proven experience in designing firmware and managing hardware-software integration
• Strong knowledge of firmware testing methodologies, including writing test plans and debugging scripts

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience leading complex development projects through all phases of the lifecycle
• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to communicate technical architectures to management levels
