Embedded Software V&V Engineer

Responsibilities

• Analyze system and software requirements to develop robust test specifications
• Design, develop, and execute black box tests for embedded software on closed-loop HIL systems
• Ensure validation activities align with the V-model framework
• Evaluate test results, identify software defects, and collaborate with development teams for resolution
• Investigate, diagnose, and correct faults within the HIL test environment
• Design and develop automation solutions and scripts to improve test execution efficiency
• Manage and coordinate test execution activities with local and global teams
• Provide technical leadership and training on software testing processes

Requirements

• Engineering Degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, Electronics, Computer systems, or Software
• Deep understanding of the V-model and software validation lifecycles
• Practical experience with IBM DOORS for requirements management
• Hands-on experience with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) test environments
• Strong programming and scripting skills in Python, Perl, or CAPL
• Experience coordinating tasks within a test team

Preferred Qualifications

• ISTQB or equivalent test certification
• Experience within the automotive industry
