Embedded Software Test Lead

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of 10 to 15 members in embedded software testing for occupant safety systems.
• Define and maintain project test strategies, plans, and resource scheduling.
• Coordinate testing activities to ensure alignment with software development phases.
• Develop test cases, high-level test designs, and test specifications.
• Set up and manage test environments, including SIL (Software in Loop) and HIL (Hardware in Loop).
• Develop test automation and solve complex technical queries.
• Perform requirement clarification, analysis, and task effort estimation.
• Communicate technical findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related Engineering field.
• 5-10 years of professional experience in software testing.
• Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language: C, C++, Python, VBA, or Perl.
• Strong knowledge of micro-controllers and embedded systems.
• Experience with the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
• Experience using emulators, simulators, debugging tools, and test equipment.
• Strong interpersonal, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• Good English communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Automotive domain knowledge and experience with vehicle safety systems.
• Experience with automotive communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, Flexray, or Ethernet.
• Familiarity with AUTOSAR architecture.
• ISTQB Advanced level certification.
• Previous experience in team management or leadership roles.
