Embedded Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop embedded software drivers for sensors, actuators, and other avionics components
• Develop embedded software applications for satellite subsystems
• Validate and test vendor provided avionics systems
• Execute integrated testing of avionics components
• Support on-orbit anomaly resolution activities

Requirements

• Extensive knowledge of Python, C++, and C
• Experience with Linux shell scripting
• Experience with Microcontroller software development
• BS degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline
• 5+ years of relevant experience
• Excellent technical communication skills
• Ability to work independently

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using laboratory tools (oscilloscopes, multimeters, network analyzers, power supplies)
• Experience with embedded systems in aerospace, automotive, naval, or oil & gas
• Knowledge of digital communication interfaces (CAN, I2C, SPI)
• Familiarity with FPGA development in Verilog
• Familiarity with embedded Linux design, compilation, and management
• Experience with DoD or USG development programs
• Ability to hold and maintain a USG Security Clearance
