Embedded Software Engineer Intern

Responsibilities

• Own big problems integral to the autonomous aircraft and ground systems
• Develop firmware for real-time coprocessors and manage high-frequency signals
• Build telemetry systems using ADCs, I2C, and GPIO interrupts
• Prototype and iterate on perception systems and sensor integration
• Improve ground system behavior for faster aircraft launch and landing
• Validate hardware performance through RF testing and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) simulation

Requirements

• Pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering
• Completed at least two years of undergraduate studies (Masters and PhD students eligible)
• Experience designing, building, or deploying electromechanical systems or robots
• Proficiency in C, C++, Python, or Rust
• Experience developing software for RTOS or embedded Linux
• Familiarity with electrical engineering concepts, schematics, and oscilloscopes
• Knowledge of communication protocols such as CAN, SPI, and UART
