About the role
About the Company
fab2 designs and builds the hardware and software needed to make chips, including the fabs, tools, and components themselves. Founded by Sam Zeloof and Jim Keller, the team focuses on rapid iteration and building semiconductor fabrication equipment.
Responsibilities
- Develop real-time Linux applications and microcontroller firmware in Rust for controlling semiconductor fabrication equipment
- Build backend systems for capturing and analyzing semiconductor process data
Requirements
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or similar field
- Proficiency in Python, C, or C++
- Low level systems programming experience
- Understanding of embedded systems and OS concepts (Linux/RTOS)
- Microcontroller programming experience (ADC, GPIO, PWM, SPI, I2C)
- A portfolio or GitHub demonstrating things you have actually built
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with electronics and feedback control systems
- Proficiency in Rust
