Embedded Software Engineer - HIL Test

About the Company

Humanoid is on a mission to build the world’s most capable, commercially-scalable, and safe humanoid robots. Their HMND‑01 Alpha platform is already running in real industrial pilots.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain HIL test environments for functional safety hardware and embedded components
• Engineer and integrate test fixtures and laboratory bench environments to emulate robotic behaviors
• Create software and firmware for automation using Python and embedded code
• Leverage Raspberry Pi, microcontrollers, and IoT platforms to generate system interfaces
• Execute black-box validation, fault injection, and system resilience analysis
• Partner with firmware and hardware teams to investigate failures and optimize test coverage

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in embedded systems, test engineering, robotics, or mechatronics
• Strong practical skills in wiring systems, building fixtures, and writing automation code
• Proficiency in Python and embedded software/firmware
• Hands-on experience with Raspberry Pi, microcontrollers, or IoT devices
• Experience debugging integrated systems using lab equipment
• Builder/tinkerer mindset with interest in safety-critical robotics
