About the role

Responsibilities

  • Capture requirements, design, build, and test software for edge compute devices
  • Develop and integrate software/firmware for drivers, boot logic, and board bring-up
  • Implement control state machines, deep learning inference, and wireless mesh/IoT communications
  • Support development teams with rapid prototyping of PCBs
  • Research and select new microcontrollers and embedded systems
  • Conduct real-world testing for radios, solar charging efficiency, and deep learning model accuracy

Requirements

  • BSc or MSc in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
  • Experience delivering commercial embedded software
  • Excellent C/C++ skills and familiarity with Python and OOP
  • Understanding of Linux kernel programming and device trees
  • Knowledge of interfaces such as SPI, UART, CAN, and USB
  • Proficiency in bare metal and embedded device development (STM32, ARM Cortex-M0, RTOS)
  • Ability to travel up to 10% for field tests

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with camera modules, sensors, and ISPs
  • Knowledge of LoRa, Wi-Fi, 4G, and mesh technologies
  • Experience with battery technologies and control theory
  • Experience deploying software on Nvidia Jetson, Raspberry Pi, or ARM devices
  • Understanding of PCB design, 3D modeling, and manufacturing
