Embedded Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Work directly with customers to integrate software features into the Vehicle OS using C and C++
• Contribute to embedded vehicle platform software development using C, C++, and Simulink
• Project manage vehicle integration timelines to ensure successful SoP milestones
• Establish vehicle integration and testing strategies across Japan and US timezones
• Influence technical strategy by balancing new feature development, scaling, and technical debt
• Ensure high-quality software delivery that meets all project requirements

Requirements

• MSc in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field from a top institution
• 5+ years of experience shipping complex embedded software
• Proven experience designing and implementing complex architectural solutions
• Production experience writing or integrating C++ based software
• Strong understanding of automotive electronic systems, including setup and debugging
• Fluency in both English and Japanese (written and verbal) for a bilingual business environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with automotive technologies such as CAN, LIN, Ethernet, Simulink, or AUTOSAR
• Experience in direct customer management
• Experience developing software for large-scale projects (CI/CD, release processes, etc.)
• Skills in adjacent areas such as CAD/3D printing or PCB design
