About the role
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain optimized firmware for ARM Cortex-M microcontrollers in bare-metal and RTOS environments
- Own and mature communication firmware using DLMS/COSEM aligned with Indian smart metering standards
- Configure and optimize low-level peripherals including UART, SPI, I2C, GPIO, DMA, and Flash
- Lead architectural discussions and act as a technical liaison with meter OEM software leads
- Drive SDLC practices including code reviews and continuous integration workflows
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electronics & Communication
- 4-6 years of embedded software engineering experience with commercial AMI products
- Mastery of C programming for ARM Cortex-M MCUs
- Experience with wireless mesh protocols such as Wirepas, Wi-SUN, or Zigbee
- Experience integrating Cellular / NB-IoT modems using AT-commands
- Proficiency in Python scripting for automation and testing
- Familiarity with Git, JIRA, CI/CD, CMake, Docker, and WSL
