Embedded Linux Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop, customize, and maintain embedded Linux builds using Yocto Project
• Create, adapt, and optimize Yocto layers, recipes, and images for different hardware platforms
• Integrate applications (Flutter, C/C++, Python, etc.) with the embedded operating system
• Work with firmware and hardware teams to ensure system compatibility and stability
• Develop and integrate drivers, system services, and middleware
• Perform troubleshooting and debugging at kernel, userspace, and build system levels
• Ensure system security, OTA updates, and reliability

Requirements

• Degree in Electronic Engineering, Physics, or similar
• Proven experience in Embedded Linux (userspace, kernel, systemd, filesystem)
• Solid knowledge and experience with Yocto Project (BitBake, layers, recipes, BSPs)
• Familiarity with C/C++, Python, and Shell Script
• Experience with cross-compilation, toolchains, and build processes for embedded systems
• Experience with networks and communication protocols (TCP/IP, MQTT, gRPC, DBus, etc.)
• Ability to diagnose complex system problems (boot, drivers, app integration, performance)

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of automatic testing frameworks for embedded systems
• Contributions to open-source projects related to Yocto, Linux, or embedded systems
• Experience in CI/CD for embedded system builds
• Experience in C++ application development for embedded systems including performance optimization
• Knowledge and experience in ROS 2 (Robot Operating System)
