Embedded Hardware & Power Electronics Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and validate DC-DC converters, AC-DC stages, and BLDC/PMSM motor drive hardware
• Select microcontrollers based on application needs, I/O count, and communication interfaces
• Design signal conditioning circuits including analog frontends, filters, and protection circuits
• Create schematics and multilayer PCB designs with attention to thermal design and EMI/EMC
• Perform bench bringup and testing using oscilloscopes, power analyzers, and spectrum analyzers
• Conduct functional, parametric, and stability testing including Bode plots and thermal characterization
• Prepare technical documentation including BOMs, test reports, and validation logs
• Support manufacturing through test jig development and failure analysis (RCA, 8D)

Requirements

• B.E./ B. Tech in EEE/ECE (M.E./ M.Tech preferred)
• 4-7 years of relevant experience
• Expertise in Power electronics (Mosfets & Drivers) and power stage design
• Proficiency in LT Spice, Matlab, or Simulink for schematic and signal analysis
• Experience with power supply design (Boost & Buck converters)
• Strong lab debugging skills and comfort with HV/LV bench testing
• Knowledge of PCB layout, EMI/EMC design practices, and safety standards
• Experience with motor control hardware (FOC, current sensing)

Preferred Qualifications

• Test automation experience using Python or LabVIEW
• Experience with reliability engineering (DFMEA, MTBF)
• Knowledge of semiconductor devices like SiC or GaN
