About the role
Responsibilities
- Design and implement object-oriented control algorithms for thermal systems, including flow, temperature, and pressure regulation
- Architect modular, reusable control frameworks to support scalability across various product variants
- Develop control software for embedded Linux and microcontroller-based real-time systems
- Model and integrate physical system behaviors, such as sensors, actuators, and plant dynamics, into software
- Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and firmware teams to define system interfaces and control strategies
- Ensure system robustness through fault handling, diagnostics, and safe-state behavior
- Support the full software lifecycle, including design, programming, debugging, unit testing, and performance tuning
- Perform product testing through unit, bench, system integration, and field test support
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer, Electrical, or Controls Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- Proven experience in embedded control systems development
- Strong proficiency in C/C++ with a focus on object-oriented design
- Experience developing software for embedded Linux and/or RTOS-based systems
- Solid understanding of control theory fundamentals, including PID and feedforward
- Knowledge of device communications and protocols such as serial, RS485, Modbus, and CANbus
- Ability to design maintainable, abstracted control architectures
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with HVAC, thermal systems, or fluid control
- Familiarity with model-based design, simulation, or system identification
- Knowledge of industrial communication protocols and multi-rate control systems
- Exposure to hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing or system validation frameworks
