About the role
Responsibilities
- Contribute to multi-board firmware architecture for reliable operation and remote management
- Design and implement firmware for electromechanical systems, including sensor integration and control algorithms
- Partner with the hardware team on new product bring-up and performance optimization
- Build internal tools for R&D, product development, and manufacturing validation
- Triage and debug platform and system-level issues on new and existing products
- Improve team processes including unit test frameworks, build automation, and CI/CD
- Participate in code reviews and validation to ensure high-quality releases
Requirements
- BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- 4+ years of industry experience developing production-quality firmware
- Proficiency in embedded C and C++ targeting ARM Cortex-M microcontrollers
- Experience with bare-metal and RTOS-based applications
- Full product development lifecycle experience from board bring-up to field deployment
- Ability to debug physical systems using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and multimeters
- Knowledge of version control (git), build automation, and unit testing
- Hands-on experience with UART, I2C, SPI, USB, Ethernet, DSI, or CSI
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Android Open Source Project (AOSP) or embedded Linux
- Familiarity with wireless communication protocols like LTE or WiFi
- Experience working in rapidly growing or scaling companies
