Embedded Developer and Test Engineer

Responsibilities

• Own the design of all test setups for in-house and manufacturing testing and drive automation
• Lead design requirements for functional and ICT PCB testing and final product test harness
• Design test plans and test cases to validate and improve products
• Participate in design reviews to ensure test requirements are met
• Support the design and development of embedded software for medical devices
• Support infrastructure and workflow for embedded software development and device testing
• Provide code reviews for embedded software and testing applications
• Analyze and optimize efficiency, stability, and scalability of embedded software
• Generate QMS documentation throughout the product development lifecycle
• Interface with hardware design and development engineers
• Review and support hardware testing plans to ensure regulatory alignment

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a technical discipline
• Hardware design experience including schematic and layout
• Proficiency in C and C++ for embedded software development
• Experience with CAD tools such as Altium, Eagle, Allegro, KiCad, or Upverter
• Experience in a lab environment using oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, multimeters, and VNAs
• Working knowledge of Python scripting for test environments
• Ability to troubleshoot hardware issues
• 5+ years of experience implementing hardware testing processes

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working within ISO 9001 or ISO 13485 quality management systems
