Embedded Architecture Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, design, implementation, testing, and integration of the networking device software stack
• Architect and develop device drivers to enable user applications and middleware to leverage hardware
• Design and optimize firmware for communication devices, interacting with host systems via device drivers
• Ensure firmware is built for safety-critical automotive applications adhering to functional safety standards
• Champion a culture of safety and best development practices in all architectural decisions

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software, or a related field
• Minimum 10+ years of experience in embedded software architecture and development
• Proficiency in C/C++ programming
• Extensive experience with firmware development, preferably for Ethernet or communication devices
• Strong understanding of the complete Software Development Lifecycle
• Proven experience with integration and testing of firmware and low-level code
• Hands-on experience with hardware and embedded processors
• Expertise in code optimization for footprint and performance

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with simulation and emulation platforms
• Knowledge of GNU compiler and debugging suites
• Experience with hardware buses like I2C, SPI, Ethernet, and USB
• Familiarity with automotive safety standards such as MISRA, ASPICE, and ISO26262
• Knowledge of protocols like TCP/IP, PCIe, SR-IOV, and Serdes
• Experience with ARM family of processors or similar embedded processors
• Experience with bootloaders like uboot
