ELV Draughtsman

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings, layouts, and schematics for ELV systems including CCTV, Access Control, Structured Cabling, Public Address, and Fire Alarm systems
• Develop shop drawings, as-built drawings, and coordination layouts based on project requirements
• Maintain and update drawing documentation according to project revisions
• Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure alignment with project goals
• Verify that designs comply with relevant standards, codes, and client requirements
• Assist in resolving technical design issues during project implementation
• Support tender and proposal teams with design inputs, including BOQs and material schedules
• Conduct site visits to ensure the accuracy of as-built drawings
• Review and validate drawings for quality assurance before submission

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience as an ELV Draughtsman in the construction or engineering industry
• Proven experience with ELV systems and their integration
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D and 3D)
• Diploma or degree in Engineering, Drafting, or a related field
• Strong knowledge of ELV systems, standards, and installation methodologies
• Excellent communication, coordination, and analytical skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in Revit or BIM modeling
• Certification in AutoCAD or related drafting software
• Familiarity with international standards such as NFPA, BICSI, or TIA/EIA
• Knowledge of project management tools or software
