About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day facility activities including loading, unloading, sampling, grading, transferring, blending, and storage of goods
  • Manage and develop hourly employees, providing training, performance feedback, and maintaining department discipline
  • Ensure personnel safety through strict compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and other regulatory agency standards
  • Execute work schedules and prioritize shift resources to maximize operational efficiency
  • Utilize mechanical and electrical expertise to troubleshoot and maintain production systems, utilities, and buildings
  • Implement and analyze preventive maintenance schedules and inspections to minimize equipment downtime
  • Maintain a safe, sanitary workplace in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED with significant On-the-Job Training (OJT) or a Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Technical Certification in a relevant field
  • 2-3 years of experience in team development and leadership
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with mechanical and electrical expertise
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and email communications
  • Ability to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally and perform physical tasks including climbing ladders and working at heights
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for report writing and team coordination
