About the role
Responsibilities
- Co-teach and build an engaging classroom environment for academic discourse
- Teach mathematics, reading, writing, science, and social studies
- Analyze student work samples and assessments weekly with instructional coaches
- Implement differentiated instruction strategies for all learners
- Build positive relationships with students and partner with families
- Support school culture through arrival, lunch duty, and assemblies
- Participate in professional development and grade-level team meetings
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Demonstrated interest in impacting K-12 students in urban communities
- Academic expertise in Elementary Education, Humanities, English, or Social Sciences
- Ability to meet NJ state certification eligibility requirements
- Commitment to supporting social-emotional and academic development
Preferred Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience working with K-12 students in urban schools
