Elementary Teacher

Responsibilities

• Co-teach and build an engaging classroom environment for academic discourse
• Teach mathematics, reading, writing, science, and social studies
• Analyze student work samples and assessments weekly with instructional coaches
• Implement differentiated instruction strategies for all learners
• Build positive relationships with students and partner with families
• Support school culture through arrival, lunch duty, and assemblies
• Participate in weekly school-wide meetings and professional development

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
• Commitment to supporting students' social-emotional and academic development
• Interest in impacting K-12 students in urban schools
• Ability to meet NY state certification eligibility requirements
• Academic expertise in Elementary Education, Humanities, English, or Social Sciences

Preferred Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience working with K-12 students in urban communities
