About the role
Responsibilities
- Teach standards-based lessons aligned to grade-level standards using EL Education for ELA and Eureka Math for mathematics
- Create a structured, engaging classroom culture with clear expectations and strong routines
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs including intervention, acceleration, and enrichment
- Support students' social-emotional growth and development as community members
- Collaborate with grade-level, special education, and multilingual learner teams
- Partner with families to communicate student progress and areas for growth
- Participate in coaching cycles, classroom observations, and ongoing professional development
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
- Pennsylvania elementary teacher certification or active progress toward certification (preferred)
- Strong classroom management and instructional skills
- Ability to use student data to adjust instruction and address learning gaps
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in urban school communities
- Experience with EL Education, Eureka Math, or other high-quality instructional curricula
- Commitment to building strong relationships with students, families, and staff
