About the role
Responsibilities
- Modify, differentiate, and teach an inclusive curriculum
- Collaborate with families and Special Education teams to develop 504 and IEPs
- Manage a caseload of IEPs, including data gathering and meeting participation
- Provide pull-out, push-in, small group, and one-on-one instruction
- Build positive relationships with students and partner with families to support learning needs
- Engage in professional development, mentorship, and coaching
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Academic expertise in Special Education, Humanities, Social Sciences, STEM, or related fields
- Demonstrated interest in impacting K-12 students in urban schools
- Ability to meet NY state certification eligibility requirements
Preferred Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience in urban schools and communities
