Elementary School SUN Campus Volunteer Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Serve as a campus liaison between the University of Portland and North Portland Elementary School SUN programs (James John Elementary and Ceasar Chavez).
• Recruit and coordinate University of Portland students to volunteer for after-school tutoring and food pantry support.
• Attend mandatory Campus Volunteer Coordinator workshops at the start of each semester.
• Maintain updated agency contact information and participant lists for Moreau Center files.
• Track and report volunteer engagement and other relevant data.
• Facilitate transportation for volunteers using Moreau Center-assigned vehicles.
• Support program administration, event planning, and direct service tasks as determined by the partner organization.

Requirements

• Willingness to commit to an intensive volunteer experience.
• Prior work or volunteer experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• An authentic desire to serve and impact the local community.
• Interest in education, social work, social justice, or supporting underserved youth.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience recruiting and coordinating peers.
