Elementary School Social Worker

Responsibilities

• Provide crisis intervention and behavior management to support student learning
• Conduct individual and group counseling for students
• Develop and implement social and emotional development curriculum
• Serve as a Case Manager and member of the Child Study Team
• Strengthen parent and family involvement and community partnerships
• Evaluate students' personal, family, and socio-economic backgrounds
• Collaborate with educators to plan school-based interventions
• Manage records, documentation, and compliance activities
• Participate in school-wide duties such as supervision and school events

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Social Work
• LMSW or LCSW licensure
• Valid School Social Worker Certification from NYDOE
• Experience working in urban schools (preferred)
