Elementary Lead Teacher

Responsibilities

• Design and implement dynamic, standards-aligned lesson plans that foster mastery of grade-level content
• Assess student progress using exams, projects, and written work to personalize instruction
• Establish and maintain high academic and behavioral standards to motivate student achievement
• Utilize diverse teaching strategies, including direct instruction and hands-on projects, to engage students
• Collaborate with teaching assistants and fellow educators to support individual student needs
• Build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to foster a culture of trust and success

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• Valid New York State Teaching Certification in Early Childhood Education or Childhood Education (Birth-2 or Grades 1-6)
• Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in an urban school setting

• Master's degree
