About the role
Responsibilities
- Teach engaging language arts curriculum designed for advanced elementary students using company-created materials
- Lead small-group, student-led learning sessions to actively involve students in each class
- Manage classroom dynamics for groups of up to 16 students
- Grade assignments and provide constructive feedback on tests
- Build positive relationships with students and families to support their educational journey
- Foster a love for learning and critical thinking through interactive instruction
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (degree in education or humanities strongly preferred)
- Strong content knowledge in reading, writing, and/or grammar
- Previous experience teaching or tutoring students
- Availability to work weekday evenings (starting as early as 4pm) and/or weekends
- Ability to commute to our in-person campus in Saratoga, CA
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with advanced or gifted learners
- Ability to facilitate collaborative, student-led classroom environments
