About the role
Responsibilities
- Evaluate students to identify unique strengths and needs and develop/implement IEPs
- Maximize learning experiences for students with special needs in academics and interpersonal skills
- Implement district-approved curriculum and document student progress and outcomes
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student success
- Monitor and report on student progress regularly using data to guide interventions
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and professional development
- Contribute to curriculum development and use instructional technologies to improve educational quality
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree completed by the start date
- Teaching license or alternative license secured by the start date
- Outstanding communication and collaborative skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree
- Experience as a K–3 grade teacher
- Experience with project-based learning instructional strategies
