Electronics Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform fabrications, alterations, and technical work on electronic and mechanical components
• Repair and modify electronic and mechanical assemblies
• Remove, install, and reflow BGA and SMT components (as small as 0201)
• Support prototyping, component testing, and last-minute assembly corrections
• Make hardware board changes including cutting traces and fine wiring
• Assist with troubleshooting and debugging of electronic components
• Ensure all safety procedures are observed during lab work

Requirements

• At least five years of applicable technician experience
• Advanced skills in electricity, electronics, and soldering techniques
• Expertise in fine-pitch CCA and SMT rework
• Experience with solder re-flow processes and equipment
• Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical systems to the component level
• U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency

Preferred Qualifications

• Current IPC certifications (J-STD-001 and/or 7711-7721 preferred)
