Electronics Technician

Responsibilities

• Support production through effective and timely equipment downtime troubleshooting
• Develop and implement equipment process improvements using PLC, servo/variable speed drives, camera technology, and robotics
• Assist maintenance staff in the operational debug of machine controllers, motion systems, and HMIs
• Interface daily with suppliers and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs)
• Train less experienced electricians and mechanics to improve departmental skills
• Work closely with controls engineers to ensure all schematics and backup programs remain current
• Conceptualize, design, build, and implement simple to moderate control systems and manufacturing equipment

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 5–7 years of related experience and/or technical training in PLC, HMI, VFD, and electrical controls
• Proven knowledge of and accountability for lock out / tag out (LOTO) policies and procedures
• Ability to work as a self-starter with little to no supervision

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in electrical or electronics engineering
