Electronics Technician

Responsibilities

• Install and configure electronic equipment and systems, including servers, routers, switches, and networking devices
• Set up and secure equipment racks and terminate LAN cables, terminal blocks, and other electronic wiring
• Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of audio equipment and voice communication systems to the component level
• Utilize schematics, technical manuals, and diagrams to ensure accurate installation and repair
• Conduct tests and inspections using instruments such as digital multi-meters, signal generators, and oscilloscopes to verify equipment performance
• Assist with site preparation work for voice switches at Air Traffic Control Centers (ATCTs), Enroute Centers, and Terminal TRACONs
• Maintain accurate records of all installations, repairs, and maintenance activities

Requirements

• Associates degree and 6+ years of experience in testing, repairing, and installing Fiber Optics, Radio Control Systems (RCE), or complex electronics, OR 8+ years of experience in lieu of a degree
• Proven experience in installing and maintaining electronic equipment and systems
• Proficiency in terminating LAN cables and other electronic wiring
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams
• Ability to travel up to 100% within the USA
• Physical ability to lift equipment, work in confined spaces, and perform tasks requiring standing or bending for extended periods
• Ability to meet customer security requirements, including a federal background check

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with specific brands or types of electronic equipment used in the aviation or telecommunications industry
• Knowledge of industry standards and best practices for electronic installations
• Experience troubleshooting and installing electronic transmitting and receiving equipment, such as radar or radio
