Electronics Technician

Responsibilities

• Install, integrate, and test Fiber Optics Terminal Systems (FOTS) and Radio Control Equipment (RCE) including VHF and UHF systems
• Troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate audio equipment and voice communication systems to the component level
• Replace components, wire circuits, and repair electronic equipment using digital multi-meters, signal generators, and oscilloscopes
• Perform site preparation for voice switches and install sensors, cabling, radios, and satellites in various weather conditions
• Solder, splice, and install various wire types including coaxial, shielded, and stranded wires
• Utilize electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints to diagnose malfunctions in transistors, integrated circuits, and motors

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in testing, repairing, troubleshooting, and installing fiber optics and radio control systems
• Ability to travel 100% within the USA
• Ability to climb towers up to 50 feet
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive physical movements
• Ability to pass a federal background check to meet customer security requirements
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and email

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced electronics training from a junior college, military service, or trade school
• Experience maintaining and modifying radar, telecommunication, sonar, or navigational aids
• Ability to evaluate equipment performance and recommend circuitry or installation changes
