Electronics Technician

Monumental is automating on-site construction with robotics and software. Our mission is to make construction software-defined and autonomous, creating a future where beautiful, bespoke buildings are constructed with minimal labour.

Responsibilities

• Own production assembly batches for the robot fleet with consistent quality and speed
• Collaborate with hardware and software engineering teams to refine designs based on testing
• Implement and improve procedures for electronic assembly and testing
• Troubleshoot electronic components and systems for autonomous construction robots and accessories
• Manage inventory for electronic components and tools to prevent project delays
• Assist in field tests of robotic systems, providing technical support and insights
• Maintain the current fleet of robots through regular health checks and maintenance

Requirements

• Solid understanding of electronics fundamentals
• Hands-on experience in hardware assembly and debugging (soldering, cabling, wiring, crimping)
• Ability to use hand tools for mechanical assembly and small mechanical fixtures
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment with shifting priorities
• Minimum of 2 years of comparable work experience
• BSc, HBO, MBO, diploma or equivalent in a relevant field

Preferred Qualifications

• Engineering or technical degree
• Ability to read schematics
