About the role
Responsibilities
- Fabricate, assemble, test, and modify complex electrical and electronic circuits and equipment
- Perform operational tests and adjustments using standard test set-ups and maintain laboratory records
- Read and interpret schematic diagrams, wiring diagrams, wire lists, and waveforms
- Use laboratory hand tools, test equipment, and computer-operated facility equipment proficiently
- Conduct research on parts or equipment to assist engineering staff
- Assist in design activities by compiling data related to specifications and materials, potentially using AutoCAD
- Direct and coordinate the work of lower-level technicians to ensure group efficiency
- Develop test plans and procedures, perform tests, and analyze data for validity
Requirements
- Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain one
- Associate's Degree in Engineering Technology or a related field
- Minimum of six years of experience directly related to work as an electronics technician
- Proficiency with laboratory hand tools and test equipment
- Ability to read and interpret schematic and wiring diagrams
- Alternatively, 10 years of experience in Engineering Technology or military technical training may be substituted for the degree requirement
