About the role

Responsibilities

  • Plan, install, maintain, and repair a wide variety of electronic apparatus and devices
  • Install and maintain alarm systems, including fire alarms, building security, card access, and CCTV
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair or replace electronic components
  • Test, adjust, and repair electronic instruments using blueprints and schematic diagrams
  • Perform preventative maintenance on building systems such as emergency lights, P/A systems, electronic clocks, and two-way radios
  • Set up and perform minor repairs on personal computers and local area networks (LANs)

Requirements

  • Advanced knowledge of electronics equivalent to an Associate's degree or two years of accredited technical school training
  • Two years of additional practical experience in electronics
  • Valid driver's license with the ability to drive both manual and automatic transmission vehicles
  • Must provide own hand tools (e.g., pliers, wrenches, screwdrivers, VOM grounded outlet tester, hex drivers, etc.)
  • Ability to work from ladders, scaffolds, and bucket trucks
