Electronics Systems Engineer

Responsibilities

• Capture, analyse, and manage system requirements from stakeholder needs through to implementation
• Maintain requirements traceability throughout the development lifecycle
• Support system architecture and requirements decomposition activities
• Work across the V-Cycle to ensure robust requirements definition and systems engineering processes
• Support system verification, validation, and acceptance testing
• Develop and review test plans, test specifications, and validation documentation
• Collaborate with software, electronics, and validation teams to ensure requirements are fully verified
• Identify and resolve requirement, integration, and test issues

Requirements

• Strong industry experience in Electronics Engineering
• Proven experience in Systems Engineering within automotive or complex engineering sectors
• Strong background in Requirements Management (capture, analysis, decomposition, traceability)
• Experience with the left-hand side of the V-Cycle (requirements definition)
• Experience with the right-hand side of the V-Cycle (verification and validation)
• Understanding of systems integration between hardware, software, and electronic components
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent military experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience within the automotive industry (electronic and control systems)
• Familiarity with IBM DOORS, Polarion, Jama, or similar tools
• Experience with embedded systems, ECUs, and vehicle-level electronics
• Knowledge of systems integration, fault analysis, and root cause investigation
• Experience in Agile or hybrid project environments
