About the role

Responsibilities

  • Dismantle desktop computers, laptops, servers, and other electronic equipment using hand and power tools
  • Separate and sort materials into designated containers including motherboards, CPUs, RAM, and power supplies
  • Identify and remove all HDDs and SSDs to ensure secure data destruction
  • Operate hard drive shredding equipment and balers for recyclable materials
  • Label pallets, containers, and material bins for accurate inventory management
  • Assist with loading and unloading electronic equipment from trucks
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area following all safety policies and PPE requirements
  • Travel to customer locations as needed for equipment loading

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to safely use hand and power tools such as drills and screwdrivers
  • Ability to identify common electronic components like HDDs, SSDs, motherboards, and RAM
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly
  • Ability to stand, bend, and perform repetitive physical tasks
  • Willingness to travel for customer projects as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience dismantling computers, servers, or other electronic equipment
  • Experience in electronics recycling, manufacturing, warehouse operations, or IT asset disposition (ITAD)
  • Experience operating material handling equipment, balers, or industrial equipment
  • Forklift certification
