Electronics Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, testing, and repair for Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), Access Control Systems (ACS), and CCTV systems
• Maintain accurate performance and maintenance records using government-supplied inventory tracking and work order databases
• Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical/electronic equipment including controls, power supplies, gauges, and sensors
• Pull and terminate low voltage signal and network cables, including fiber optic fusion-splicing
• Read and interpret installation as-built design plans, electronic schematics, and manufacturer literature
• Prepare detailed reports of test results and assessments of key electronic systems
• Utilize various tools and test equipment such as multi-meters, power tools, and measuring devices

Requirements

• Associate's Degree and 2+ years of related professional experience, or 5 years of related experience
• Proven experience with CCTV, Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), and Automated Access Control Systems (ACS)
• Basic networking knowledge
• Active Secret security clearance
• Valid driver's license and automobile insurance
• Availability for after-hours and weekend work as required

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional certifications in IDS, ACS, and CCTV systems
• Demonstrable experience in the safe use of soldering irons and specialized test equipment
• Ability to perform installation and repair of mobile radios and emergency vehicle equipment
