Electronics Installation Technician

Responsibilities

• Install and upgrade navigational aids, communications systems, and weather monitoring equipment on airfields across the US National Air Space (NAS)
• Perform electronics systems installation, civil construction tasks, and electrical equipment installation
• Assist with Fiber Optics Terminal System (FOTS) installation and site preparation at various aviation facilities
• Integrate and test electronics, electrical power panels, conduit, cableways, and racks for FAA systems
• Remove, repair, or replace components, wires, wire bundles, terminal blocks, and connectors

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in testing, repairing, troubleshooting, and installing Fiber Optics and Radio Control Systems (RCE)
• Extensive experience with electrical installations, including duct banks, manholes, steel racks, towers, and airfield systems
• Ability to read and interpret project drawings, specifications, and client standards
• Proficiency with basic electrical and electronics test equipment
• High school diploma
• Ability to pass a detailed DOT background check
• Willingness to travel 100% throughout the United States and its territories

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced electronics training from a junior college, military service, or trade school
• Experience maintaining and repairing radar, radio, telecommunication, and navigational aids
• Strong customer service skills and experience working directly with site owners
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office for daily and weekly reporting
